NEDAC Yahoo group is for sharing technical information and discuss issues related to Technologies, Professional Development etc. All the messages sent to NEDAC yahoo group are moderated and checked for their compliance with NEDAC yahoo group policy. Members are encouraged to participate and share their technical experience for the betterment of NEDAC community. NEDAC Yahoo group policy is provided below for your ready reference.
NEDAC YAHOO GROUP POLICY
1. Members can share any useful information on engineering and technology which could be in the form of short articles, news about discoveries or technical developments. Information about NEDAC activities may be posted as long as it meets the purpose and objectives of NEDAC and conforms to the detailed guidelines presented below. Postings regarding pertinent/current employment opportunities shall also be permitted provided that they are relevant to the membership. Postings of a nature that promote professional development of members will also be allowed. Information that is deemed to be of significant national importance may be allowed to be posted at the sole discretion of the group moderator.
2. No posts shall be permitted which directly or indirectly promote members’ business interests or advertise goods or services offered by members for profit. However posts for voluntary services offered without charge to members to promote their technical development or help them in acquiring employment would be allowed. The latter is subject to the proviso that free of charge services which are offered as hooks to promote business interests shall not be posted.
3. Posts which are of a malicious nature or which are personal attacks on a member or a group of members will not be posted. This includes all material which is offensive, conflict-creating, finger-pointing, threatening or otherwise distasteful and against the larger interest of NEDAC. Also no chain emails will be posted.
4. Members are advised not to copy messages in whole or in part to those outside the group. This is a member only forum and therefore copying messages to people outside the membership would destroy the confidentiality of information and will inhibit the free exchange of information between members.
5. Email attachments are not permitted. All information should be posted as an inline text and pasted in the body of the message. A URL address can however be made available so that relevant information on the topic can be easily accessed by other members.
6. All messages are reviewed prior to being posted. Threads of comments on a subject considered to be of a derogatory or negative nature or deemed as not being helpful to members will not be allowed. Message threads may be terminated at Moderator’s sole discretion.
7. In case a thread is terminated or a message is not posted due to its objectionable content, it shall not be pursued by the originator or other members in its original or an altered form. All termination rulings are to be considered as final and no objections to this effect will be entertained.
8. The originator of a message is deemed to be solely responsible for the contents of his/her message; the Moderator shall not be held liable in any form or manner and is not expected to check the veracity or source of the information provided in the post. The latter would be the sole responsibility of the member planning to take any action based on the information provided therein.
9. Members should exercise extreme discretion prior to using the default 'Reply to All’ button when responding to postings as this sends their response to the whole group. Messages which are not of any direct benefit to the entire group should be sent only to the concerned person only.
10. Soliciting business from members is not allowed on the NEDAC yahoo group. As mentioned in rule number 2, only information relating to genuine free of charge services offered for the technical development of members may be permitted.
11. All messages and responses shall be written in manner that reflects courtesy and respect for other member’s opinions. Participation in discussion threads shall be in an open, honest and responsible manner. Objectionable remarks or abusive language towards any other member or group shall not be tolerated.
12. All messages shall be brief and to the point.
13. Members shall not be allowed to post messages on behalf of other members.
14. Members shall post messages under their own names and use the email addresses provided in the NEDAC membership database. Email addresses on the NEDAC website can be updated by contacting iahmed_us@yahoo.com
15. No discussions on political, religious, or any controversial matters shall be permitted. As a corollary no postings of religious or political events will be allowed. As well postings which incite ethnic / sectarian differences or are hate / racist / discriminatory emails of any sort shall NOT be permitted.
16. NEDAC Board reserves the right to revise the above rules from time to time. The membership shall be informed by email as and when new or revised rules are developed.

18. Subscription to the NEDAC Yahoo Group is a privilege and not a right. Members who do not abide by above rules may have their membership in the group suspended.

NEDACSocial yahoo group is more liberal in sharing information. On this new forum, NEDAC members can freely exchange messages relating to social information, share their experiences and knowledge with their fellow members and provide useful tips on various matters to each other. Exchange of such messages is intended to assist members in their social development and make life easier by providing needed help by other members. All postings sent to this yahoo group are moderated. In order to ensure that the members benefit fully from this new forum, members are advised to abide by NEDACSocial Yahoo Group Policy provided below
